Breaking patterns, nurturing futures
DeHab is where design, art, and technology meet to imagine and build futures for people, nature and culture.
About DeHab
DeHab is not a traditional lab. It is a living space of experiments, where prototypes become stories and research collides with craft. We work at the edges, between memory and possibility, between culture and computation. Here, technology is not a tool of separation but of connection. Every project is an invitation: to unmake what no longer serves and to remake what does. At DeHab, progress is not measured in speed, but in depth, empathy, and the strength of what we leave behind for others to build on.
Purpose
DeHab exists to explore defined problem spaces, not fleeting trends.
We gather around questions, form project-pods and leave behind prototypes, open-source tools and cultural artefacts.
Design here is not just about aesthetics or solutions. It is about wholeness: integrating craft, systems thinking and cultural sensitivity to imagine futures that are both human and planetary.
Our Beliefs
We shape our practice around these truths
Art, design and technology are one.
Not silos, but different ways of exploring ideas.
We design for wholeness, not dashboards.
People are more than users, life is more than metrics.
We root our work in culture.
Stories, wisdom and symbols carry futures within them.
We create with nature as partner and guide.
To give back more than we take.
We build for belonging, not disconnection.
Each story, each tool, each space is a thread in the fabric of community.
We choose to go slow.
Slowness allows us to listen, think, and build things that last.
We share as we go.
Process is open, collaboration is welcome.
We experiment with hope.
Every failure is a seed for what comes next.
We are always listening…
Help us shape new beliefs…
Community
DeHab isn’t a corporation. It’s a commons, a space held together by care, curiosity, and a shared willingness to ask better questions.
Our community is made up of volunteers: designers, researchers, technologists and makers who work at the edges of practice. Titles don’t matter here. What brings us together is inquiry, an openness to explore, challenge, and build.
Want to contribute?
If you’re drawn to this kind of work, you’re welcome to join us. Come as a collaborator, fellow, or partner. Bring a question, a sketch, or a story. Together, we’ll unmake and remake the futures we hope to inhabit.

Exploration Area .01
Digital Futures Lab
Reimagining Digital Experiences
How can emerging technologies shift the way we interact with the world?
What does it mean to build technology that feels alive in the hand, or responsive to the body’s movement and mood? Our first DeHab frontier is a shared space for asking questions like these an invitation to explore embodied interfaces, adaptive typography, and the possibilities of spatial computing. This isn’t a top-down initiative. It’s a playground for researchers, designers, and technologists to gather, prototype and rethink how we interact with digital worlds.
If your work involves any of the following, we’d love to hear from you:
- Prototyping in AR, AI, or adaptive systems
- Experimenting with typography or cultural expression in digital spaces
- Exploring embodied or spatial interfaces
- Researching HCI, perception, or cognition
We’re looking for volunteers to help shape this space; whether you’re a product designer, a researcher or student eager to dive deeper, a user research enthusiast, a Unity tinkerer, or a type designer.
If you’re curious, bring your questions and your craft. Let’s see what emerges.
